Peter Korn is a furniture maker, author, and educator.
Born in 1951 in Philadelphia, he studied history at the University of Pennsylvania before pursuing furniture making in 1974.
Korn founded the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine, where he serves as Executive Director.
His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums nationwide.
In addition to "Why We Make Things and Why It Matters," which won the 2014 Maine Literary Award, Korn has authored several instructional books on woodworking.
His expertise in craftsmanship and his philosophical approach to creativity have made him a respected figure in the field of furniture making and craft education.
