Cathy Marie Buchanan is a Toronto-based Canadian author and New York Times bestselling novelist known for richly researched historical fiction.
She has written three novels: The Day the Falls Stood Still, a Barnes & Noble Recommends selection and Canada Reads Essential Canadian Novel; The Painted Girls, a #1 national bestseller in Canada praised by NPR and Good Housekeeping; and Daughter of Black Lake, named a Best Fiction pick by Entertainment Weekly and Parade.
Her work has been translated into nine languages.
Buchanan holds degrees in Biochemistry and an MBA from Western University and is a certified yoga instructor.
