Wes J. Bryant retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2018 as a Master Sergeant after two decades of service.
Embedded with Special Forces under a Navy SEAL task force, he was among the first special operations JTACs deployed to Iraq to counter ISIS. As senior enlisted JTAC at the BIAP Strike Cell, he coordinated the initial airstrikes against ISIS near Baghdad, later serving in Syria and Afghanistan.
He holds a bachelor's in Asian Studies from the University of Maryland.
He currently writes, teaches Chinese Kung Fu and Tai Chi in North Carolina, and lives with his wife and two daughters.
