Elinor Florence is a Canadian author whose historical novel Finding Flora became a national bestseller upon its April 2025 release.
She previously wrote Bird's Eye View about a WWII aerial photographic interpreter and Wildwood about a single mother inheriting a northern farmhouse.
Florence grew up on a prairie farm and enjoyed a journalism career writing for newspapers and Reader's Digest.
She has Indigenous Cree heritage and is a Métis Nation of B.C. member.
For twelve years, she's written the monthly blog "Letters From Windermere," sharing her passion for history and book recommendations.
She lives in Invermere, British Columbia with her husband and has three grown daughters.
