Kenneth E. Bailey, ordained by the Presbyterian Church (USA), spent 40 years living and teaching throughout Egypt, Lebanon, Jerusalem, and Cyprus.
Holding degrees in Arabic Language, Systematic Theology, and a New Testament doctorate, he served as Professor of New Testament at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut, founding its Institute for Middle Eastern New Testament Studies.
Later, he became Research Professor at Jerusalem's Ecumenical Institute.
His specialty is the cultural background and literary forms of the New Testament.
Author of numerous books and articles translated into over 20 languages, Bailey has lectured at prestigious institutions worldwide, including Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, and Fuller Seminary.
