Manfred Spitzer, born May 27, 1958, in Lengfeld near Darmstadt, is a German psychiatrist, psychologist, and academic.
Since 1998, he has served as Medical Director of the Psychiatric University Hospital in Ulm.
He also leads the Transfer Center for Neuroscience and Learning (ZNL), established there in 2004, which focuses primarily on neuroeducation — the intersection of neuroscience and teaching practices.
A prolific and often controversial figure, Spitzer is known for his outspoken views on the impact of digital media on learning and cognitive development, particularly in children and adolescents.
