ريتشارد ج.
إيفانز هو مؤرخ بارز في تاريخ ألمانيا الحديث، وُلد في لندن عام 1947.
شغل منصب أستاذ التاريخ الملكي في جامعة كامبريدج بين عامي 2008 و2014، كما ترأس كلية وولفسون في كامبريدج من 2010 حتى 2017.
نال إيفانز ميدالية هامبورغ للفنون والعلوم عام 1994، وميدالية الأكاديمية البريطانية ليفرهولم عام 2015.
كان الخبير الرئيسي في محاكمة إنكار الهولوكوست التي جرت عام 2000 ضد ديفيد إيرفينغ، والتي تم تجسيدها في الفيلم الوثائقي "الإنكار".
