Timothy S. Lane was born in Sylvania, Georgia, and came to faith in Christ at seventeen through local church sermons and community influence.
He earned a degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Georgia in 1984, then graduated from Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia in 1991.
After serving as a pastor in South Carolina for a decade, he moved to Philadelphia to join the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation as a counselor and faculty member.
He also lectures in practical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary and has authored and co-authored several books, including How People Change and Relationships: A Mess Worth Making.
