Zecharia Sitchin
Zecharia Sitchin was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and raised in Palestine, where he developed expertise in modern and ancient Hebrew, Semitic languages, and Near Eastern history and archeology.
He was among few scholars capable of reading ancient Sumerian and Akkadian clay tablets.
Sitchin graduated from the London School of Economics, University of London, majoring in economic history.
He worked as a journalist and editor in Israel for many years.
