Amanda Peters is a writer of Mi'kmaw and settler ancestry whose work has appeared in several literary magazines.
She won the 2021 Indigenous Voices Award for unpublished prose and participated in the 2021 Writers Trust Rising Stars program.
Peters holds a certificate in creative writing from the University of Toronto and an MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts.
Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Theatre at Acadia University, she resides in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley with her pets.
"The Berry Pickers" is her debut novel.
