Andrew T. Scull is a British-born sociologist specializing in the social history of medicine and psychiatry.
Born in 1947 in Edinburgh, he studied at Oxford and Princeton before teaching at the University of Pennsylvania.
Since 1978, he has been at the University of California, San Diego, where he is now a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Science Studies.
