Angel Kyodo Williams is an American writer, ordained Zen priest, and author.
She is known for her work in making Buddhism accessible to people of color and addressing social issues through spiritual practice.
Williams is the Spiritual Director of the newDharma Community and founder of the Center for Transformative Change in Berkeley, California.
She has developed unique practices such as fearlessMeditation, fearlessYoga, and Warrior Spirit Training.
As of 2013, she was the world's second female Zen teacher of African descent.
Her Buddhist name, Kyodo, means "Way of Teaching.".
