Audrey Niffenegger is an American writer and artist born in 1963.
Her debut novel, The Time Traveler's Wife, became a national bestseller in 2003.
She has also published graphic novels and illustrated works, including The Adventuress and Raven Girl.
Niffenegger is a professor in the MFA Creative Writing Program at Columbia College Chicago.
Her second novel, Her Fearful Symmetry, was published in 2009.
In addition to writing, Niffenegger is an accomplished visual artist, with her work featured in a retrospective at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in 2013.
