Brian Broome is a poet, screenwriter, and instructor at the University of Pittsburgh's Writing Program.
His literary achievements include being a finalist in The Moth storytelling competition and winning the grand prize in Carnegie Mellon University's Martin Luther King Writing Awards.
Broome has also been recognized for his journalism, receiving a VANN Award from the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation in 2019.
As the K. Leroy Irvis Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, Broome continues to contribute to the literary world while residing in Pittsburgh.
