Chinmayananda Saraswati, born Balakrishnan Menon, was a prominent Indian spiritual leader and teacher.
He founded the Chinmaya Mission in 1953 to propagate Vedanta teachings worldwide.
The organization now has over 300 centers globally.
Chinmayananda was initially a disciple of Sivananda Saraswati at Rishikesh's Divine Life Society.
Later, on Sivananda's advice, he studied under Tapovan Maharaj in Uttarkashi, Himalayas.
His teachings and leadership inspired many, making him a significant figure in spreading Vedantic philosophy and spiritual wisdom to a broad audience, both in India and internationally.
