Daymond John is an entrepreneur, marketing expert, and television personality who founded the iconic urban fashion brand FUBU ("For Us By Us") in Queens, New York.
Growing up in Hollis, the birthplace of hip-hop, John created FUBU after making tie-top hats with his mother's sewing machine, eventually building a $350 million empire.
He mortgaged his mother's house for startup capital and gained credibility when LL Cool J wore the brand.
