Hannah Kent is an Australian author whose debut novel, Burial Rites (2013), became an international bestseller translated into 30 languages.
The book earned numerous accolades including shortlisting for the Women's Prize for Fiction and Guardian First Book Award, and winning the ABIA Literary Fiction Book of the Year.
Her second novel, The Good People (2016), was also critically acclaimed and shortlisted for multiple awards.
Kent co-founded the Australian literary publication Kill Your Darlings and serves as a Patron for World Vision Australia.
She has contributed to major publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Sydney Morning Herald.
Kent lives and works near Adelaide, Australia.
