Henry Merritt "Hank" Paulson, Jr. is a former US Treasury Secretary and Goldman Sachs CEO. Born in 1946, he excelled in sports and academics, graduating from Dartmouth and Harvard Business School.
Paulson joined Goldman Sachs in 1974, rising to become CEO. In 2006, he was appointed Treasury Secretary under President George W. Bush, serving during the 2008 financial crisis.
After leaving office, Paulson wrote a memoir and founded the Paulson Institute to promote US-China cooperation on economic and environmental issues.
