Herbert Harris
Herbert Eugene Harris II was a Democratic Representative from Virginia, born in 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri.
He attended various schools, including the University of Notre Dame, and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School.
Harris practiced law in Kansas City and Washington, D.C., and co-founded an international trade consultants firm.
He served on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.
Harris was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for three terms from 1975 to 1981.
After an unsuccessful reelection bid, he resumed his law practice in Washington, D.C., and resided in Mount Vernon, Virginia.
