Joe De Sena is the cofounder of Spartan Race, a global lifestyle company that began as an obstacle race inspired by the Death Race.

Spartan Race has grown into a multi-million dollar enterprise in less than a decade and was voted Outside magazine's Best Obstacle Race.

De Sena is known for his extreme endurance, having competed in numerous challenging races across the world within a single year.

These events include the Raid International Ukatak, IditaSport, Odyssey Adventure Race, Raid the North Extreme, and the Discovery Channel World Championships.

He resides in Vermont with his family and has authored books on the Spartan lifestyle and fitness philosophy.
