John Gwynne is a British author known for his epic fantasy series The Faithful and the Fallen, Of Blood and Bone, and The Bloodsworn Saga.
His debut novel, Malice, won the David Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Fantasy Debut in 2012.
Gwynne's subsequent books have been shortlisted for and won various awards.
He draws inspiration from Norse mythology and historical events.
Outside of writing, Gwynne is a Viking re-enactor and enjoys participating in shield wall formations with his sons.
He lives on the south coast of the UK with his family and several animals, including dogs, a horse, and a lamb.
