Joseph Goldstein is a prominent American vipassana teacher and author born in 1944.
He co-founded the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) with Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzberg, and serves as a resident guiding teacher there.
Goldstein has written numerous popular books on Buddhism, primarily introducing Westerners to Theravada concepts and practices.
