Kathleen Dean Moore
Kathleen Dean Moore is an environmental philosopher and author known for exploring the moral, spiritual, and cultural relationships between humans and nature.
She founded the Spring Creek Project at Oregon State University, integrating environmental sciences, philosophy, and writing to reimagine humanity's connection to the natural world.
Moore has written several acclaimed books of nature essays, including "Wild Comfort" and "The Pine Island Paradox." With degrees in philosophy from Wooster College and the University of Colorado, she teaches environmental ethics and philosophy at Oregon State.
Moore co-authored the Environmental Humanities Initiative, combining science and humanities to address complex environmental challenges.
