Lance Dodes
Lance Dodes, MD is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst with over 30 years of experience treating addiction.
He has authored multiple books on the subject, including "The Heart of Addiction" and "Breaking Addiction." Dr. Dodes was a Training and Supervising analyst emeritus with the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and formerly an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
His work challenges conventional approaches to addiction treatment, particularly the 12-step model.
