Matt Cain is a British writer, broadcaster, and prominent LGBTQ+ commentator.
He served as Channel 4's first Culture Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Attitude magazine, contributing to national newspapers and appearing on major television programmes.
A patron of LGBT+ History Month, he received an honorary doctorate from Bolton University and was awarded an MBE in 2025 for services to LGBTQ+ culture.
His bestselling novels include The Madonna of Bolton, The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle, and One Love.
In 2026, he will launch Pansy, an independent publisher specialising in queer books, alongside his husband Harry Glasstone.
