Michael Idov
Michael Idov is a journalist, essayist, and writer with a diverse background.
Born in Riga, he began his career writing for a Soviet youth newspaper.
After moving to the United States with his family, he studied screenwriting at the University of Michigan.
Idov gained recognition writing for prominent American publications, winning three National Magazine Awards.
In 2012, he relocated to Moscow to become editor-in-chief of Russian GQ. Alongside his journalism, Idov writes fiction in both English and Russian, showcasing his multicultural perspective and versatile writing skills.
