Mona Chollet is a Franco-Swiss writer and journalist based in Paris.
She serves as chief editor for Le Monde diplomatique and has written for Charlie Hebdo.
Chollet studied literature in Geneva and journalism in Lille.
Her contract with Charlie Hebdo ended controversially in 2000 after she contested an editorial calling Palestinians "uncivilized." She co-runs the cultural criticism website Périphéries and hosted a 19-episode series on Arte radio called "L'esprit d'escalier," covering societal topics with a focus on feminism and media.
