Narendra Modi
Narendra Damodardas Modi is the 14th and current Prime Minister of India, serving since 2014.
Born on September 17, 1950, he previously served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014.
Modi is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization.
He is the first non-Indian National Congress prime minister to win two consecutive terms with a full majority and the second to complete five years in office after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Modi represents Varanasi as a Member of Parliament.
