Nic Stone was born and raised in an Atlanta suburb.
After graduating from Spelman College, she worked in teen mentoring and lived in Israel before returning to the US to write full-time.
Growing up surrounded by diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds, Stone brings these varied voices and stories into her work.
Known primarily as a bestselling YA author, Boom Town marks her debut into adult fiction.
She loves adventure and storytelling equally.
Stone currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and two sons.
Her writing emphasizes representation and giving voice to underrepresented communities, particularly Black women and marginalized groups.
