Ocean Vuong
Ocean Vuong is a Vietnamese-American writer known for his poetry collections and bestselling novel.
Born in Saigon, he immigrated to the United States as a child.
Vuong's work explores themes of identity, sexuality, and the immigrant experience, drawing from his personal history.
His debut novel, "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous," received critical acclaim and became a New York Times bestseller.
Vuong's talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including the American Book Award and a MacArthur "Genius Grant." Before his literary success, he held various jobs, including line cook and fast-food server, which have influenced his writing.
