Patrisse Khan-Cullors is an artist, organizer, and co-founder of Black Lives Matter.
Growing up in an impoverished Los Angeles neighborhood, she experienced firsthand the impacts of systemic racism and police brutality.
Khan-Cullors has been recognized for her activism, receiving awards and speaking engagements worldwide.
She holds a degree in religion and philosophy from UCLA and has created performance art pieces addressing state violence.
In addition to co-founding BLM, Khan-Cullors established the Coalition to End Sheriff Violence and the non-profit Dignity and Power Now.
