Robert M. Greenberg is an American composer, pianist, and musicologist who has created numerous musical works and recorded several lecture series on music history and appreciation for The Teaching Company.
He holds a B.A. in music from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in music composition from UC Berkeley.
Greenberg has taught at various institutions, including UC Berkeley, California State University, East Bay, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he chaired the Department of Music History and Literature.
Currently, he serves as Music Historian-in-residence with San Francisco Performances.
