Spike Milligan
Terence Alan Patrick Seán Milligan, known as Spike, was an Irish-descent comedian, writer, and musician.
Born in India, he later lived in England and Australia.
Milligan gained fame for his work on The Goon Show and his comical autobiographical novels about his WWII experiences in the British Army.
He also wrote children's poetry.
Milligan suffered from bipolar disorder, which led to depression and breakdowns.
Despite his mental health struggles, he is remembered as a comic genius.
His humor lives on through his work and even his tombstone, which reads "I told you I was ill" in Gaelic.
