Susan Abulhawa, born to refugees displaced during Israel's 1967 capture of remaining Palestinian territories including Jerusalem, is one of the most widely read Arab authors in the world.
Currently residing in Pennsylvania with her daughter, she is also the founder and President of Playgrounds for Palestine, an organization dedicated to upholding Palestinian children's right to play.
Her debut novel, Mornings in Jenin, became an international bestseller translated into 30 languages, followed by The Blue Between Sky and Water, translated into 20 languages.
Her latest novel, Against the Loveless World, was published in August 2020.
