Kirsten Menger-Anderson is a San Francisco-based author whose work spans fiction and essays.
Before her debut novel, she published Doctor Olaf van Schuler's Brain, a short story collection that earned a Northern California Book Award fiction finalist nomination and recognition as one of Time Out Chicago's top ten books of the year.
Her writing has appeared in prestigious publications including Ploughshares, Southwest Review, LitHub, and Undark.
Her debut novel, The Expert of Subtle Revisions, was published by Crown in March 2025 and is partly inspired by her own grandfather's diary, blending personal history with fiction.
