She spent nearly twenty years working in politics before transitioning to pursue creative writing, completing an MA in Creative Writing at City University.
Her novels are known for their meticulous historical research, particularly focusing on eighteenth-century England, and feature complex mysteries with surprising plot twists.
She explores themes of class, gender, and power through her fiction.
Laura currently resides in London with her husband, Adrian.
