Key Takeaways
1. Our Divine Identity as God's Daughters is Under Assault
Yet I fear your divine identity and its authority in your life are under assault.
A divine origin. You are not an accident; you are God's idea, uniquely created in His image as both male and female. Though female was created last, she is not the least, but rather the intimate answer to man's loneliness, designed for profound connection and purpose. This divine identity is under fierce attack, aiming to strip women of their God-given designation and authority.
Beyond roles and possessions. Our true identity is not found in our roles (wife, mother, minister) or possessions, which can change or be lost. Instead, our identity is "daughter" – a designation that speaks of being wanted, welcomed, fathered, mothered, and embraced into God's family. This deep connection provides wholeness and a sense of belonging that the world cannot offer.
A triune being. Your divine identity encompasses your body, soul, and spirit, intricately woven together as a sacred whole. While the world often defines us by external achievements or appearances, God sees us as fearfully and wonderfully made, loved and wanted even before our first breath. This understanding is crucial in a time when female identity is constantly questioned and distorted.
2. The Spiritual War Targets Female Identity and Purpose
Then the dragon became furious with the woman.
An ancient foe. A fierce and furious dragon, known as Lucifer, Satan, and the father of lies, is bent on the destruction of daughters and the annihilation of children. This enemy is behind every brutal act against women, from sexual assault to trafficking, and seeks to strip women of their God-given authority and distort their feminine beauty and purpose.
Targeting the bride. The enemy's focus has shifted to women because Jesus is coming back for His bride, the church. Satan aims to redefine and deconstruct the concept of a pure bride, undermining marriage and all things related to female. This spiritual battle manifests as rage at and in women, leading to widespread hate, distortion, perversion, and the systematic attempt to erase women.
Not flesh and blood. This fight for female is not merely a battle for women's rights, but a spiritual war to reclaim our divine birthright. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against unseen rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of evil. Understanding this spiritual dimension is vital, as human anger and strategies alone cannot win this cosmic conflict.
3. Reclaim Your Body as a Sacred, Divinely Crafted Space
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
A divided house. Many women live as divided houses, criticizing and cursing their bodies rather than celebrating them as sacred. This internal division often stems from external pressures, like the author's experience with her father's comments on her weight, leading to a love-hate relationship with their physical form.
Beyond comparison. Social media and filtered images constantly remind women of perceived lacks, fostering a culture of comparison that leads to self-harm, eating disorders, and depression. However, our female bodies are divinely aligned to glorify God, not to conform to unrealistic expectations or be sexualized and shamed by cultural narratives.
God's intentional design. Female is not an afterthought; it was creation's finale, uniquely woven and holy. God's intimate involvement in our creation means our bodies are His workmanship, worthy of wonder. We are called to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, renewing our minds to embrace His perspective of our sacred form.
4. Engage in Spiritual Warfare with God's Authority and Love
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Authority in His name. The demonic realm is real, and the battles we face in the natural realm are won in the spiritual. Believers have undeniable authority in the name of Jesus, a gift freely given to help others. This requires an intimate, not just intellectual, knowledge of Christ and a willingness to operate in the gifts of the Spirit like discernment, wisdom, and healing.
Heart and motive. Spiritual warfare begins with submission to God and must always be motivated by love, not just opposition. Human anger does not produce God's righteousness; it consumes energy without moving people toward God. It's crucial to check our motives, discern what we are truly wrestling (spiritual forces, not people), and avoid being careless with sacred things.
Practical strategies. To fight effectively, we must:
- Know the Word: Pray God's living, active Word, which is our invincible sword.
- Fast and Pray: Some spiritual strongholds require prayer combined with fasting.
- Renounce Agreements: Break any unwitting agreements with the occult or past sins that open doors to evil.
- Guard Your Home: Create a sanctuary by playing worship music, resolving conflicts before bed, and monitoring media content.
- Expect Persecution: Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, knowing trials will come, but God is with us.
5. Restore the Family and Generations from Cultural Deconstruction
GOD, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from marriage? Children of God, that’s what.
A deconstructed foundation. A radical feminist agenda, initiated by a small group of women in 1969, aimed to destroy the American family by dismantling the "American Patriarch" and monogamy, promoting promiscuity, and infiltrating every institution. This has led to declining marriage rates, increased promiscuity, and a devaluing of children, who are now often seen as burdens rather than blessings.
God's multi-generational vision. God is the God of generations, and His Spirit is poured out on sons and daughters, young and old, to prophesy and see visions. Children are a heritage, like arrows in the hand of a warrior, meant to be aimed well into the future. The enemy knows that devaluing children and destroying the family dismantles culture and corrupts society.
Love as the answer. Despite the widespread confusion and depopulation threats, God is activating a generation. He loves the LGBTQ+ community and all who are lost, calling us to go to the "highways and hedges" to compel them to His banquet. Arguments will fail, but love never will. We must love as God loved us in our sin, not endorsing sin, but offering the escape from it.
6. Fight for Truth and Common Language in a Confused World
A lie doesn’t become the truth, wrong doesn’t become right, and evil doesn’t become good just because it’s accepted by the majority.
Erosion of common sense. Society is in decay when common sense becomes uncommon. Concepts like "boy or girl" are fundamental binaries children use to understand the world, yet radical feminists seek to dismantle the "gender binary." This undermines commonly held beliefs, leading to confusion and a loss of direction, as people are persuaded to doubt what they see with their own eyes.
Language weaponized. Language, meant for clear communication and shared understanding, has been weaponized to divide, disorient, and silence. Words are constantly changing meaning, creating "doublespeak" where "confusion is clarity, wrong is right, lies are my truth." This deliberate distortion of language corrupts thought and makes it difficult to relate or problem-solve.
Choose truth, not sides. In a world that calls evil good and good evil, we must choose to serve the Lord, not sides. Jesus refused to be entangled in fruitless arguments, instead declaring His alliance to truth and focusing on rescuing hearts. We are called to speak precise language without hate, to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, ensuring our words reflect God's grace and truth.
7. Unleash Your Voice to Advocate for What is Right and Good
Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.
Silencing and sexualization. Women face a double-edged sword: systematic sexualization and simultaneous silencing. When women speak up against injustices, like biological males displacing females in sports, they are often met with accusations and attempts to shame them into silence. This mirrors historical patterns where dissenters were labeled "hateful" to justify their persecution.
The silence of bystanders. Like the Roman citizens who watched spectacles of cruelty in the Colosseum, we risk becoming passive spectators to injustice. Elie Wiesel warned that "What hurts the victim most is not the cruelty of the oppressor, but the silence of the bystander." It's time to break the prison of silence and refuse to be intimidated by those who seek to shrink our lives and limit our voices.
Speak truth in love. Recovering our voice means using it constructively, not just to parrot or protest. This involves:
- Saying "No": Refusing unreasonable demands and abusive behaviors.
- Loving Disagreement: Maintaining relationships even when there's disagreement, focusing on mutual respect.
- Exiting Chaos: Disengaging from combative online threads and prioritizing real-world conversations.
- Standing Up: Advocating for others, especially children, against bullies and harmful ideologies.
- Praying Fervently: Lifting holy hands in prayer for all people, free from anger and controversy, knowing God's Word is powerful.
8. Flee Modern Idolatry to Embrace True Freedom in Christ
Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
The "box in hand" and other idols. The missionary's prophecy of a "box in hand" controlling lives has come true with smartphones, which constantly interrupt, distract, and foster comparison. Beyond this, modern idols are "objects of extreme devotion" that promise happiness but ultimately leave us feeling inadequate. These include:
- Self: Obsession with our image, achievements, and desires, leading to insatiable appetites.
- Religion: A system of impossible rules and judgment, focusing on self-effort rather than Christ's redemption.
- Ministry: Prioritizing service over personal relationship with God and family.
Freedom from bondage. Idolatry is intertwined with works of the flesh, leading to sexual immorality, impurity, strife, and division. We are called to flee idolatry, recognizing that anything that gains mastery over us, even good things like careers or relationships, can become an idol if it takes God's rightful place.
True freedom. God calls us to a free life, but this freedom is not an excuse for self-indulgence or rebellion. True freedom is the ability to choose what is right, true, and just, to deny self, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. It means living beyond ourselves, caring for others, forgiving, taking responsibility, and being transformed by Christ, rather than conforming to culture.
9. Become a Female Hero by Flourishing in God's Design
The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!
Heroes born in battle. Hard times create opportunities for heroes to emerge. We are in a life-or-death fight against the Devil, who knows his time is short and seeks to inflict maximum damage. Our weapon is the Word of God, activated by belief and obedience, empowering us to stand strong and shine like bright lights in a crooked and perverse world.
Biblical examples of female courage. History is punctuated by female heroes who defied cultural norms and risked their lives for others:
- Midwives Shiphrah and Puah: Feared God more than Pharaoh, saving Hebrew male babies through civil disobedience.
- Jochebed (Moses's mother): Saw something special in her son, hid him, and fashioned an ark, trusting God for his rescue.
- Miriam: Prophetically connected Pharaoh's daughter to Jochebed, ensuring Moses's nourishment and protection.
- Pharaoh's Daughter: Used her influence and compassion to rescue and adopt Moses, defying her father's decree.
Fight by flourishing. We fight not with fire, but by flourishing in God's design. This means clinging to Jesus, our Vine, and bearing fruit through love, which is an action and a commitment. Our strength is for service, not status, empowering us to lend a hand to those who falter, nurture the next generation, and make divine connections for provision and protection.
