Agustín Fernández Paz
Agustín Fernández Paz (Vilalba, 1947 – Vigo, 2016) was one of Galicia's most celebrated children's and young adult authors, producing over forty-five titles written in Galician.
A trained teacher with a degree in Educational Sciences, he taught for over thirty years while simultaneously writing and developing educational materials.
His works have been translated into Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Korean, Portuguese, French, Arabic, and Italian.
Throughout his career he received numerous prestigious awards, including the Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil in 2008 for O único que queda é o amor, and was twice recognized as the best author of the year.
