Charles B. Handy
Charles Brian Handy was an influential Irish author and philosopher specializing in organizational behavior and management.
He pioneered concepts like the "portfolio career" and "shamrock organization," which describes workforces composed of professional core workers, freelancers, and part-time employees.
Handy ranked among the world's most influential management thinkers on the Thinkers 50 list, placing second behind Peter Drucker in 2001 and tenth in 2005.
He was selected alongside Drucker and Henry Mintzberg to write for Harvard Business Review's 50th anniversary issue.
Trinity College Dublin awarded him an honorary Doctor of Law in 2006.
