His signature work is widely considered a masterpiece of Christian literature.
He has written biblical fiction spanning nearly the entire Bible.
Edwards grew up in East Texas, entering college at 15, graduating at 18 with a bachelor's degree in English history, and later earning an M.Div.
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
An advocate of the house-church movement, he travels extensively supporting Christians meeting in home settings and conducts conferences on deeper Christian living.
He and his wife, Helen, reside in Jacksonville, Florida.
