Ian Kershaw
Ian Kershaw is a distinguished British historian renowned for his authoritative biographies of Adolf Hitler.
He studied at Liverpool and Oxford, earning his doctorate from the latter.
Kershaw's academic career included positions at the University of Manchester, where he taught both medieval and modern history, followed by professorships at the University of Nottingham and the University of Sheffield.
He also served as Visiting Professor at Ruhr University in Bochum, West Germany.
A fellow of multiple prestigious institutions including the British Academy and Royal Historical Society, Kershaw retired from academic life in 2008 after establishing himself as a leading authority on Nazi Germany.
