Jean-François Sénéchal grew up surrounded by books and writes for both young and adult audiences.
After studying anthropology and writing about Haiti, he returned to his literary passion.
His work has earned significant recognition: the Prix Jeunesse des libraires du Québec for Au carrefour in 2019 and the Governor General's Award for Les avenues in 2021.
Le boulevard appeared on the International Board on Books for Young People's 2018 honour list.
In 2017, he received the Canada Council for the Arts' Joseph S. Stauffer Prize in literature, establishing him as an acclaimed voice in Canadian literature.
