Marietje Schaake
Marietje Schaake is a Dutch technology policy expert and former European Parliament member (2009-2019), where she focused on trade, foreign affairs, and technology policy.
Currently a Fellow at Stanford's Cyber Policy Center and Institute for Human-Centered AI, she writes columns for the Financial Times.
She serves on multiple non-profit boards and the UN's High Level Advisory Body on AI. During her parliamentary tenure, she became a leading voice on internet freedom, spyware regulation, and Big Tech accountability, bringing both political experience and technical understanding to technology governance issues.
