Nancy MacLean
Nancy MacLean is the William Chafe Professor of History and Public Policy at Duke University, where she teaches and conducts research on American social movements and political history.
She is an award-winning historian and author of several notable books including Behind the Mask of Chivalry, which was recognized by the New York Times as a noteworthy book, and Freedom is Not Enough, praised by the Chicago Tribune as "contemporary history at its best." MacLean lives in Durham, North Carolina, and her work focuses on examining power structures, civil rights, and democratic institutions in American history.
