Peter Gorman was an award-winning investigative journalist whose career spanned diverse locations from Bombay to Manhattan to the Mexican border.
Over 30 years, he made multiple extended trips to the Peruvian Amazon, where he developed deep expertise in ayahuasca and shamanic practices.
Beyond journalism, Gorman worked as a collector of artifacts for the American Museum of Natural History, herbarium specimens for the FIDIA Research Institute of the University of Rome, and medicinal plants for Shaman Pharmaceuticals.
He authored Ayahuasca in My Blood: 25 Years of Medicine Dreaming and led small groups on jungle expeditions.
