Sam Keen was an American author, professor, and philosopher renowned for exploring love, life, wonder, religion, and contemporary masculinity.
He co-produced the award-winning PBS documentary Faces of the Enemy and was featured in a Bill Moyers television special.
For twenty years, he served as contributing editor at Psychology Today magazine and appeared in the 2003 documentary Flight from Death.
Keen completed undergraduate studies at Ursinus College before earning graduate degrees from Harvard University and Princeton University.
He was married to Patricia de Jong, former senior minister of First Congregational Church of Berkeley, United Church of Christ, in Berkeley, California.
