Brian McClellan is an American epic fantasy author from Cleveland, Ohio.
He gained recognition for his Powder Mage Universe, which includes the Powder Mage Trilogy and Gods of Blood and Powder series.
McClellan's writing career was influenced by attending Brandon Sanderson's writing classes at Brigham Young University.
He has also written the Valkyrie Collections series and essays on the writing life.
Currently residing in Utah with his wife, Michele, McClellan balances his writing career with a self-proclaimed video game addiction.
His work is known for blending traditional fantasy elements with gunpowder-based magic systems, creating a unique subgenre often referred to as "flintlock fantasy.".
