Her debut novel was The Divorce Papers.
Like Mother, Like Mother explores three generations of women grappling with abandonment, ambition, and motherhood.
The novel centers on Lila Pereira, who rises to become executive editor of The Washington Globe while navigating a distant relationship with her daughters, particularly Grace, who writes a bestselling book about their family and investigates her grandmother Zelda's mysterious disappearance from an asylum.
The book has been optioned for screen adaptation.
