Emily Nemens is an accomplished American author and editor whose debut novel, The Cactus League, received critical acclaim as a New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice and was celebrated by NPR and Lit Hub in 2020.
Her fiction has appeared in prestigious publications such as BOMB, The Gettysburg Review, and n+1, while her illustrations have graced The New Yorker.
Nemens has an extensive editorial career, having led The Paris Review and co-edited The Southern Review.
She held the 2022–23 Picador Professorship at the University of Leipzig and teaches in Bennington College's MFA program, residing in central New Jersey.
