Jerrold M. Post dedicated his career to political psychology, spending 21 years at the CIA where he founded the Center for the Analysis of Personality and Political Behavior.
He developed psychological profiles of world leaders, including the landmark "Camp David profiles" of Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat for President Carter.
He also pioneered U.S. government research into terrorism psychology.
Recognized with the Intelligence Medal of Merit and Studies in Intelligence Award, Post later joined George Washington University.
A Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, he served as a founding member of the International Society of Political Psychology.
